About the Event
The practice of Mindfulness is one that teaches us to slow down, focus within, and become fully present. When we develop this practice, we cultivate a deep sense of peace, concentration, tranquility, and insight. So that whether we're at home, at work, or anywhere else, we move through our days in conscious awareness of our thoughts, emotions, and actions.
Participants will remain silent throughout this day-long retreat. The experience will include alternating seated guided meditations and walking meditations designed to help you focus on the present moment, and become consciously aware of your body, mind, and spirit.
Meditation has been shown to help you experience thoughts and emotions with greater balance and acceptance, as well as:
- Reduce stress, anxiety, depression and pain
- Improve sleep
- Improve attention and concentration
- Decrease tension, burnout and fatigue
Join us for a day of silent mindfulness and come away feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, and ready to be fully present in your daily life.
This retreat is suitable for people age 18 and up.
Please come prepared for a day that includes sitting for extended periods of time as well as walking around the land. We encourage you to bring whatever you need to be cozy during the sitting meditations. Please also bring footwear suitable for light hiking, and layers based on the current weather conditions. As part of the silent nature of this retreat, we encourage you to leave your cell phones in your vehicle for the duration to help you remain present and to avoid distractions.
