Weekend, day-long, and multi-day retreats
Our team currently offers daylong and weekend retreat opportunities at the Wilder Grove in Hartwood, VA. We're adding more regularly, so check back again soon for additional retreat options.

Ceremonies
Rituals and Rites
Our facilitators offer a wide range of ceremonies and rites of passage both at the Wilder Grove in Hartwood, VA as well as at other locations in the region; each tailored to your particular needs. These include, but are not limited to, Blessingways for expectant mothers, newborn blessings and baby naming ceremonies, house clearings and cleansings, Coming of Age ceremonies, Spirit Name rituals, Handfastings and legal weddings (in the State of Virginia), and End-of-Life blessings and rites for loved ones and pets.

Spiritual Journeys
and Shadow Work
As teachers and guides, we value the impact a journey can have on an individual. There are times when we are all unaware of our path forward, and this can cause us to spend our days in confusion over how to take the next step. In times like these, a journey can be a cathartic and enlightening experience; revealing the direction we are meant to travel.
The facilitators at the Wilder Grove work together to design a specific journey just for you. We begin with an in-depth conversation with you, which helps us learn what you need, what you're looking for, and what you hope to achieve. Through this process, we come to understand how best to serve you. Afterward, we create a unique journey experience just for you, tailored to your specific needs, and designed to provide you with the outcome that will serve you best. For some, that will be a brief but intense round of self-examination and exploration over the course of a long weekend. For others, it may mean a journey through the shadows that you carry inside of you, lasting several days and nights, and leading you out the other side. For still others, the journey may involve short periods of intense work at the Wilder Grove as well as times of self-study and personal reflection that you can do in your own home.
The journey we create for you will be yours, and yours alone, designed specifically for you to experience. When you arrive at the Wilder Grove for your journey, you will feel the mundane world slip away as we guide you through an experience of a lifetime; challenging you, nurturing you, and supporting you along the way.
Weddings
and Handfastings
Legal Weddings and Handfastings
Our clergy are available to perform legal marriage and handfasting ceremonies in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Liz* and Cael, the founders and ministers of ShadowGrove, offer a unique form of marriage or handfasting, by co‐officiating, so that both masculine and feminine energies of spirituality are brought into the ceremony. Each ceremony is tailored to suit the couple and is delicately written to allow all guests, both Pagan and non‐pagan, to enjoy the ceremony.
Non-legally binding Handfastings
The ShadowGrove Clergy are happy to perform handfasting ceremonies that are not legally binding, in Virginia as well as in neighboring states, by arrangement. We are proud to work with all couples, regardless of orientation.
In addition to handfastings and marriages, we offer a variety of hand‐crafted ritual and keepsake items to add to the uniqueness of the ceremony and to create lasting memories.
